Minutes from the Jan. 13 board meeting were approved.

Information on hockey events from the Albany club were shared.

Membership

With Shara and Laura Little admitted as members, the membership drive has met its goal of 100!

Programming

The potluck dinner on February 13 was a success. A diverse group of 14, including some new people, enjoyed a pleasant meal.

A day of cooking and meals at Wheatleigh will be announced to the membership for Tuesday, April 5 or Tuesday, April 12, depending on the Inn’s availability. The even will be from 5-8:30 pm at cost $125 per person. The menu we will propose to Wheatleigh is Tappas.

Isaac Kramnick cannot speak at the annual meeting on August 28 at the Lenox Club. The board agreed to invite the coach of a Cornell sports team. Shara suggested hockey coach Mike Schafer, softball coach Dick Blood or lacrosse coach Jenny Graap and agreed to contact them.

Possibilities for a spring speaker include Frank Rhodes or Gene German, the Robert G. Tobin Professor Emeritus of Food Marketing, who gives a popular speech entitled “Is there life after Walmart?” The date of Professor German’s speech would be Sunday, May 22. Possible locations suggested were The Berkshire Musuem (Judy), Berkshire South (Hilda), Taggert House (Toby) and The Triplex (Toby). Locations are being contacted by the person noted.

A suggestion that we take photos of events to share with members was met with positive feedback.

Board Business

A nominating committee will be needed to fill Kim Bixler’s position.
