Cornell Club of the Berkshires

The grand and historic Lenox Club was the site of our 2004 Annual Meeting, Sunday, Aug. 15, when about 100 Cornellians reconnected with old friends and made some new. This was a rare opportunity to experience the private Lenox Club, favored by owners of the famed Berkshire Cottages built during America’s Gilded Age. From the lovely veranda, we lingered over brunch and enjoyed the vast expanse of lawns.

This was also the day for our annual meeting, when we celebrated the Cornell Club’s first year in existence, reviewed the past year’s accomplishments, and shared our plans and programs for an exciting coming year. Members elected a new Board and officers. It truly was a day of fun and getting to know each other better.

S. Murphy As an added treat, Susan Murphy, VP of Student & Academic Services at Cornell described campus life for 21st century students and gave us an update on Cornell campus construction projects. A dynamic and entertaining speaker, she oversees almost everything and anything that affects students at Cornell, including admissions, academicsupport, campus life, Greek life, career services, public service, religious affairs, athletics, and health services.

Here are some photos of the activities:

President Toby Levine calls the meeting to order.

Guests were treated to a lavish brunch.

To conclude, we all joined in singing the Alma Mater.
